Dying Light 2 Crashes. I'm using the standard EMPRESS version of the torrent and the standard crack is applied. I can play for a bit but then the game window vanishes and I get 'unable to load library steam_api64.dll' and the game stays running in the background and needs to be forcequit. Any ideas on this?
According to reports, the crashes occur mid-game and sometimes even during the startup menu. One player suggested this issue can potentially be fixed by performing a soft install. UPDATE: Just did a soft install and it seems to have fixed it! Thanks for the help. But crashes are not the only issues in the new 2.0 update.
I can't even start the game. There is a black screens at startup and then crashes Game files are verified - all ok but Dying Light crashes with a black screen after a few seconds. Even a new installation has brought no success. It is the first time that I start DL after the Windows Update 1809 with a second PC (1803) it works perfectly I've had 349 hours in game and never had any How To Force DX11 In Dying Light 2 PC: 1. Open File Explorer and go to your Documents folder. 2. Now open the Dying light 2 folder then the Out folder. 3. Next open the Settings folder > You will then see a file video.scr > Right-click and Open (you will need to open the file with Notepad) 4. Clearing Cache / Fix for Black Screen, crashes etc. Power down your console, then unplug the power cord from the back of the Xbox One. Wait two minutes, then plug the power cable back into the back of the Xbox One and monitor the power brick, waiting for it to cycle from white light to orange, and then turn the power on. You should be able to fix it by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dying Light\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010 and running DXSETUP. Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dying Light\_CommonRedist\vcredist There are 2 files, 2010 and 2012, run the exe for 32 or 64 bit ,depending on your OS, from both folders.
I tried updating to the latest drivers and adding "/nolightfx" to the startup option but nothing helps. Any idea how I can fix this? I can't even ask for reimbursement since I played 5h and I've put the game on the backburner until the bugs are fixed. I come back to the game and it's even worse than before with the game not even launching =/ .
