Re: Aircon - too much pressure to re-gas? just had the guy come look at it. Said it seems the compressor is knackered and would be looking at roughly £800+ including labour for him to sort it all. He said would need new valve, compressor and would have to look at possibly replacing condenser as well as vacuum out the system and regas and oil etc.

Aircon and cooling fans not working. Just joined the forum so looking for some advice on my issue. I have a 2007 Mk5 Golf 1.9 TDi. Some weeks ago, the aircon pressure switch sensor (1K0 959 126 B) ruptured and quickly released all the refrigerant. I replaced this with a new pressure switch and had the system re-gassed.
